After the successes of their musicals « Oliver » and « The Sound of Music », New Twist in Toulouse is thrilled to have been able to bring you their latest production; « Lucky Stiff ».

Performed in English, and produced by the association Theatre Music Action 31, the group presented the musical written by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty and based on the novel « The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo » by Michael Butterworth.

« Lucky Stiff » is a bizarre and hilarious farce, complete with mistaken identities, six million dollars in diamonds and a dead body in a wheelchair.

The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo.

Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000.

If not, the money will go to the Universal Dog Home in Brooklyn…or to his uncle’s gun-toting ex!

New Twist in Toulouse thanks Crédit Agricole and the Mairie de Pibrac for their support of this project as well as the many hours of our hard working teams behind the stage; set, costumes, props, sound, lighting, production, marketing, design, hair and makeup, prompt, and direction both stage and music.
