Unscripted Energy: Improv with Jump Rhythm® - Spontaneous Dance and Theatre.
This high-energy workshop merges the spontaneity of improvisational theater with the rhythmic foundation of Jump Rhythm® Technique. Participants will explore how to think on their feet (literally!) by combining scat singing, body percussion, and movement to create spontaneous performances. The workshop is designed to build confidence, encourage creative risk-taking, and foster collaboration—all while having fun.

Course Description
Ready to unleash your spontaneity?
This workshop blends the freedom of unscripted interactions with the rhythmic foundation of Jump Rhythm® Technique. Participants will use scat singing, body percussion, and movement to create spontaneous, dynamic performances.
The session begins with rhythmic warm-ups to energize the group and establish a playful, collaborative atmosphere. From there, participants will engage in improvisational exercises that sharpen reflexes, deepen rhythmic awareness, and unlock creative potential.
Working in small groups, you’ll craft short, improvised performances that blend movement, rhythm, and storytelling. The workshop culminates in a showcase where participants can share their creations in a supportive, playful environment.
No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to dive into the unknown. By the end, you’ll have explored new ways to express yourself, connect with others, and embrace the joy of spontaneous creation.

COURSE PRESENTER
Peter Hammer is a professional performer, choreographer, and teacher based in Toulouse, France. For over 10 years, he has devoted his professional dance career to learning, dancing, and teaching the Jump Rhythm® Technique an unique American art form that combines jazz and tap dance with “scat” singing and body percussion to create an energetic expression of whole-body emotion and rhythm. He began dancing when he was 14 and went on to receive a degree in Dance Performance and Choreography from Hope College, in Holland, Michigan. In 2007, Peter began working with Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, an Emmy award-winning Chicago dance company. As a company member, he performed, choreographed, and taught workshops and masterclasses in Finland, Spain, France, and throughout the US. At the end of 2017, Peter received a “Passeport Talent” visa to teach dance and perform in France. Now, his focus is directed to introducing the Jump Rhythm Technique in France, with classes, workshops, and performances in Toulouse and other cities through his association, Association Rythme Américain, and dance company, Sounds of the SOL."
